Another collection of a brilliant Midnite performance presented here on their 2008 release Midnite Live 94117. The live performance was recorded and mixed live by John Karr on October 8, 2007 at The Independent in San Francisco. So many stunning Midnite performances occurred at this venue.
The performers included Vaughn Benjamin (lead vocals), Ron Benjamin (bass and vocals), Christian “Sly” Molina-Curet (drums), Edmund Fieulleteau (guitars), Wayne “Ankwatep” Andreas (keys, backing vocals), and Edwin Byron (guitars).
This album has been out of print for more than a decade and I don’t get the feeling that Rastafaria or Ron Benjamin for that matter have any interest in reissuing it. If so I will certainly remove it. Until then enjoy the best touring reggae band in the world at their prime…
