Its as if Kibir Am Lak and Laurent “Tippy I” Alfred heard the prayers of thousands of die hard Midnite and Akae Beka fans. Earlier this year, the two producers and record label chiefs collaborated to release Vaughn Benjamin’s most sought after titles on vinyl. Fans can now purchase vinyl pressings of the following modern roots masterpieces.

For those of you, like me, who are a bit miffed that they have retitled former Midnite releases (‘Beauty For Ashes,’ ‘Ride Tru‘) using the Akae Beka moniker please rest well. According to Tippy, Vaughn requested that the albums carry the Akae Beka name.
