All this month MIDNIGHT RAVER remembers Peter Tosh. Tosh, who was born October 19, 1944, would have been 70 years old this month had he not been gunned down that fateful evening of September 11, 1987.
To memorialize Tosh, MIDNIGHT RAVER is sharing a post about Peter Tosh every single day this month. Fred has done an amazing job of sharing previously unreleased live photos of Tosh from around the world. We’d like to give thanks to the photographers for allowing us to share these.
On October 19, 2014, MIDNIGHT RAVER will share for the first-time-ever Roger Steffens’ video interview with Peter Tosh from August 22, 1983. The interview, conducted at the Sunset Marquis hotel in Hollywood, is approximately 60 min. in length and has never been shared by Roger in its entirety. Along with the interview, we will publish a statement from Steffens which provides context for the interview, and also includes Roger’s perspective on the man he knew both as a friend and artist.
This will be a big event and one you do not want to miss!
Here is a great interview with Tosh by Rastafarian journalist Arthur Kitchin:
