The album that saved roots reggae, released the same year the last prophet was murdered, 1987.  Strength Of My Life saved roots reggae from the onslaught of slack digital garbage that Jamaica was selling to the world in the late 1980s.  The trio left Jamaica and recorded together for the very first time outside of the island in a small Washington, DC-based studio with two white guys and the best band Jamaica has produced since the Wailers.  Producer Doctor Dread and Studio Engineer Jim Fox were able to get a masterful vocal performance on tape by all three members, and save roots reggae at the same time.  Cecil “Skelly” Spence told me that this was the best recording experience of his life and his favorite Israel Vibration record.
