I have spent considerable time over the past several weeks ranking my Top 25 Reggae Albums of the 2K. In preparing this list I spent hours going over my streaming data, past posts, album reviews, my personal record collection, and listening to hours upon hours of modern roots reggae.
This list contains what I believe to be the best reggae albums released since the year 2000. Included here are new, original full length albums released by reggae artists or groups. Omitted from this list are the following: compilation albums, tribute albums, riddim albums, dub albums, various artist compilations, reissues, or EPs. I would like to do a best dub albums list but that will take more time.
Again, this is my list. I’m sure each of you have your own favorites. Feel free to agree or disagree with my selections in the comments section below.

I’ll need to give the Rose albums another listen. If I recall, they were good, but not great. I’d rank Eesah No Medz in your list over Michael Rose
You talking about Eesah’s new album Deep Medz? Yeah I’ve been listening to it. I like it, especially his voice. Some of the production seems lightweight and some tracks are have too much of a modern dancehall feel for me. I love those Michael Rose albums produced by Twilight Circus. Maybe I put them too high up on the list.
sorry.. got title wrong, give it another listen. Also Ras Teo needs another look
great picks – chk these too
Marcus Gad – Enter a Space
Lee “Scratch” Perry – Heavy Rian
I totally agree! I had Rhythm of Serenity in there but took it out to include something else. I need to re-examine his albums. I may put him back in…
