Today we go on the year 1972..

The wailers , on a usa tour , 2 weeks to start the year, then being invited in policital events coupled with music.

This is also the year they got the best vocal group award 1972 , the year they were on Billboard Charts and England Charts.

The year they signed a contract with Island Records, in August, thanks to Bunny Wailer for the details.

On this USA Tour , The Wailers played with John Holt, The Debonaires, a bronx based band : The Cinnamon Suns (wich are nowdays located in Florida and still active in music)
and Syd Joe & Caribbean All-Stars.

On this concert, the crowd was about 3000.

The Wailers were on the Jamaican Hit Parade, January 1972, with their song ‘Screwface’ and also with ‘Trenchtown Rock’

they were also on the Billboard american charts and England Charts with Johnny Nash’s cover of Stir It Up.
