TWILIGHT CIRCUS SOUND SYSTEM launches popular DREADA DUB MIX VOL. 6 with an extraordinarily dense version to MICHAEL ROSE’S “Throw Some Stone.” If anyone has produced Rose better than Ryan Moore, I have not heard it. Next up are two brand new dub tracks for the ages. First up is the version to TETRACK’S 12″ single from Roots Vibes titled “That Day Will Come.” Mr. Haze leans heavy on the guitars in this searingly brilliant instrumental. In my opinion, the best dub track I’ve heard this year. From here we go right into the dub version to Dre Island’s “Live Forever Dub,” an outright brutal assault on the senses. Jamaica’s Natural High Productions have created a sound and vibe that towers above the rest, bringing a heavy dub which is in contention with the Tetrack dub for best of the year. The dub clinic continues with three “lost” dubs from Scientist feat. Flick Wilson. The dubs to Wilson’s SCHOOL DAYS LP were dug up and released by Jah Life/Digikiller this year and oh what a gift it is. Next up is a killer version from CHEZIDEK’S 2013 LP titled THE ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK, the second-best album of 2013 after Milton Henry’s BRANCHES & LEAVES SHOWCASE. CHRONIXX, DAMIAN MARLEY, and JESSE ROYAL over the “Rootsman” riddim? All day long…BAD BRAINS IN DUB?
