As we approach our 3-year anniversary we will be pulling out all the stops to reach one million site views.  Already fast approaching 900,000 site views, our goal is to break the one million mark by the end of October 2014.  So I will be calling upon our most popular contributors and closest friends to share something very special from their body of works.

The first to step up to the plate is our good friend Pekka Vuorinen who visited us back in April 2013 to share rare photos and interviews from his book Reggae Inna Dancehall Style.  Along with the late Tero Kaski, Vuorinen visited Jamaica in the early 1980s and documented the post-Marley reggae scene through photos and interviews, many of which are included in their landmark reggae zine Cool Runnings.  Their work in documenting this transitional period in reggae is the most significant documentary reporting from that era, matched only by the work of Beth Lesser.

Pekka has been such a good friend of MIDNIGHT RAVER and he comes through for us once again with this previously unreleased interview with Cleveland “Clevie” Browne about his time at Studio One.  The interview took place in Helsinki Finland, November 1982.  Also included are never-before seen photos of a young Clevie taken by Vuorinen.
