“Croaking Lizard,” featuring Prince Jazzbo toasting over Lee “Scratch” Perry’s “Chase The Devil” riddim, is a monster tune from The Upsetters’ Super Ape LP.  Jazzbo is out of his mind on this track murdering every millisecond of this riddim.  But that’s only the half of it.  Perry’s production is supernatural.  There is so much going on within this 3 minutes and 32 seconds that you hear something new every time you listen to it.

What is perhaps most striking about this track is the fact that Jazzbo seems to freestyle the entire thing!
