This is a fine selector’s mix of some of the rare Black Uhuru 7″ and 12″ discs from my collection. Also in the mix are a few album selections from the vastly underrated ‘Brutal’ album produced by our friend Doctor Dread. Make sure to check the opener, Michael Rose singing over Niney’s mix of “Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner.” Check the 3-tune riddim mini-mix which includes Junior Reid’s “Chanting”, Black Uhuru’s “Dread In The Mountain”, and Midnite’s “Hi Speeches.” Also the track meld on “Heathen” and “Willow Tree” where I meld the originals from 1977’s ‘Love Crisis’ with the outstanding remakes on 1990’s ‘NOW.’ Interesting stuff here…
