Here is a phenomenal live performance from Midnite, which occurred on October 8, 2007 at The Independent in San Francisco, CA. If you are anything like me, it has taken you a while to vibe with this band. I am now fully committed. As your reggae selectah here over the past 2.5 years, you have placed your trust in me that I sort of know what I’m talking about when I tell you that something is worth your time to listen to. Believe me when I tell you, this is the most talented, prolific, and distinctive sounding roots reggae outfit we have seen in many years. While many of their albums seem inaccessible for reggae fans, their live shows stand alone. Their live performances prove that these musicians are committed, supremely talented, and their sound unique. Vaughn Benjamin’s lyrics are always conscious and relevant, and his vocal stylings are unique and cannot be imitated.
I am putting together a deadly mix of tunes from the early years of their career titled “Midnight Raver’s Midnite Massacre,” which I hope to post for you today. Soon come!

Good stuff….since Mixcloud streams and doesn’t allow you to rewind, forward…etc, what is best way to download onto CD? Mixcloud is frustrating when stream is broken during car ride.
