Early reporting from the Jamaica Gleaner on The Wailers’ visit to the U.S.  The Gleaner refers to the group as ‘Bob Marley and the Wailing Wailers.’

The article describes a two-week tour where the band plays a gig at New York’s Concourse Plaza on New Year’s night and several spots in the Bronx, Queens, Manhattan, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.  The Wailers were accompanied by The Debonaires, the Cinnamon Sun Orchestra, the Syd Joe Caribbean All-Stars, and leading vocalist John Holt.

Many thanks to my good friend Fred of the MIDNIGHT RAVER BLOG for this press clipping.
