Bob Marley and the Wailers performed at the Meehan Auditorium, Brown University in Providence, RI on September 17, 1980 in support of the Uprising album.  This performance is of note because it took place just days prior to Marley’s collapse in New York City and his diagnosis with terminal brain cancer.  The Wailers are as lively as ever during this performance, and the show is a testament to Marley’s strength, commitment, and sense of duty to his fans.  Bob Marley is bestowed an award during the encore presentation, all of which is captured on the recording.  The show is presented here in its entirety.  This bootleg has been circulating for years as an audience recording, however, it is presented here as a soundboard recording in lossless format (FLAC).  Enjoy!

Interesting sidenote:  My good friend Fred “Reggaelover” P turned me on to Bob’s performance of Roots, Rock, Reggae during this performance, where he does a bit of ad-libbing and switches some lyrics.
