Here is a great example of a talented artist taking someone else’s song and making it their own.  Produced by Sly and Robbie and released on the Power House label, Noel Ellis’ “Dancing Partner” is a retelling of Bobby Darin’s famous hit “Dream Lover.”  Compare the two tracks:
