Included here is one of the more impressive vinyl pressings I’ve heard in a long time – and it was pressed 32 years ago!Cedric Myton & The Congos “Can’t Take It Away” is a single of off their underrated 1981 effort ‘Face The Music,’ and boy is it a killer.  Here it is in an original press 12″ vinyl released on the Go Feet label in 1981.
Interesting note regarding Go Feet Records.  Go Feet was an English record label founded by, and predominantly used to release recordings by, the ska revival band The Beat (known as The English Beat in North America). The band had some chart success in the United Kingdom in the 1980s. The label also released a few recordings by other bands, including this killer by The Congos.
Make sure to listen to the version.  It’s an absolute monster.
