As I commented on Dubwise’s heartfelt tribute:

“Where would we be without Roger Steffens?  Slingin’ GnR bootlegs?”

For those who did not grow up in the US, you may know Roger as this face that pops up in a few Bob Marley documentaries, or the author on some great books about reggae.  For those of us who grew up in the US, Roger was the Ambassador for Reggae.  Perhaps no other individual has done more to make sure that reggae remains alive and well in America than Roger Steffens.

On a personal note, he has graciously donated his time, of which he has little to spare, to help me establish this blog as a place to host quality live recordings of our favorite roots artists.  This blog would not have the credibility it does if it were not for Roger editing, vetting, and consistently answering every question I have.

Happy 70th my friend!  The work you do is vital to so many…
